Community is a safe space where acceptance and love are promoted. It's building connections and being open to one another's thoughts and ideas so everyone can grow to become better peers. It's having a physical and emotional environment to be yourself and love yourself without fear or hesitation, and sending that same message to everyone around you.

If you're struggling with your gender or sexual identity, know that they are not static and there is no right answer. Try not to get too frustrated on your journey, which I know is easier said than done. While you may not feel 100% comfortable in your own skin all the time, there will be days where you will wake up and say "Yeah, this is me. This is who I am; who I want to be." Listen to yourself on those days and hold on to the parts that make you the happiest.

You are not alone. You may not be able to immediately remove yourself from your current circumstances, but know that there is a greater community out there that has your back. I stand with you. Focus on the positive things that you have in your life. If you're in school, work hard so that you can open yourself up to even more opportunities in the years to come. Participate in online communities that welcome you with open arms. Visualize where you want to be, jot down your goals, and believe that you can get there.

To those who are being bullied: don't stop shining your light. These people do not understand how to handle your radiant energy and are responding with hate because they feel threatened. You have done nothing wrong and do not need to change yourself to fit into their normative boxes. Surround yourself with as many positive individuals as you can and keep being the awesome person that you are.
